RESOLUTION 20-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY; AUTHORIZING THE EMERGENCY EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC FUNDS
UNDER SECTION §67-2808(1), IDAHO CODE; PROVIDING FOR RELATED MATTERS;
AND, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE:
WHEREAS, an outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Treasurer Valley affects the City
of Eagle;
WHEREAS, it may be necessary for the City to expend emergency funds to safeguard life, health
or property; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EAGLE, Ada County, Idaho, as follows:
Section 1. That pursuant to Idaho Code §67-2808(1)(iii), the City may avoid the bidding
requirements for the expenditure of public funds in the event of an emergency; and
Section 2. That an emergency exists, pursuant to Idaho Code §74-204(2) and §67-2808(1), in
that the City must immediately declare an emergency and authorize the expenditures of emergency
funds under Idaho Code §67-2808(1); and
Section 3. That pursuant to Idaho Code §67-2808(1), the Mayor and Council do hereby
declare an emergency and authorize the emergency expenditure of public funds necessary to do
emergency work to safeguard live, health or property due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus
(COVID-19) within the City.
