SPECIAL WORKSHOP
MINUTES
May 17, 1997
CALL TO ORDER:
ROLL CALL: Masner, Merrill, Yzaguirre-Present. Mayor Bower and Bastian - Absent:
A quorum is present. Masner presiding.
General Discussion on the new City Hall/Library Complex.
Masner introduces the issue. Yzaguirre suggests putting money towards the pamphlets,
and forego the yard signs due to the time crunch with the election only 1 week away.
Masner and Yzaguirre mention that there are some signs up on the site.
General discussion on how to promote the bond. Discussion with members of the media
which are present on how they could help get information to the public regarding the
bond issue. Frank Thompson of the West Ada Express, and Lori Bettenski of the Idaho
Statesman participate in a question and answer session with the Council. Bob Hildeman,
from US Bank, is also present and participates in discussion.
Yzaguirre moves to place the Canvassing of the votes to the beginning of the agenda
for the May 27, 1997 Council meeting. Seconded by Merrill. ALL AYE... MOTION
CARRIES.
Masner moves to adjourn. Yzaguirre seconds. ALL AYE... MOTION CARRIES.
