RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EAGLE RECOGNIZING AND SUPPORTING THE ESTABI ISI MENT AND
GOALS OF THE"CENTRAL VALLEY EXPRESSWAY STEERING COMMITTEE(CVESC)";AND PROVIDING
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,individuals have been woiidng jointly to support the development ofthe"Central Valley Expressway Steering
committee(CVESC)"to see Idaho State Highway 16 connected to Interstate 84.
WHEREAS,the Central Valley Expressway Steering Committee(CVESC)Mission statement currently states:
To emphasize the importance ofthe Hwy 16 project to Idaho's economic recovery and to show the growing support behind
efforts to complete the Hwy 16extension to 1-84 by coordinatingwith Cities,Agencies,Communities,Legislators,Landowners,
and others to ensure that there is a unified voice movingforward and to identify viable finding options to connect the Hwy 16
Project all the waytol-84,briningscaroutidingjw1sdictions,stakeholders&utility companies to the table to discuss options&
outline strategies to follow.
WHEREAS,the City of Eagle believes it to be in the best interest ofthe welfare ofthe property owners,and citizens throughout
the City of Eagle and its Impact Area to support the Central Valley Expressway Steering Committee(CVESC)to advance its
Mission and Vision
THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE,IDAHO,as
follows:
Section 1:The City ofEagle will work jointly with the Central Valley Expressway Steering Committee(CVESC)to advance
their Mission and Vision
Section 2: the City ofEagle will review its planning documents,ordinances and resolutions and consider amending same which
the City may deem desirable and in the City's best interest to support the Central Valley Expressway Steering Committee
(CVESC).
Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
