1. CALL TO ORDER:
2. ROLL CALL: BASTIAN, MASNER, MERRILL, YZAGUIRRE, BASTIAN ABSENT,
a Quorum is present.
3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
A. FY 1997 Eagle Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) Recommendation:
The May is asking the City Council to review the 1997 TIP recommendations from the Planning
and Zoning Commission and formulate the City's 1997 TIP for submittal to the Ada Planning
Association. (CB)
Mayor introduces the issue. Present from the Planning & Zoning Commission are Bert
Bradley, Chairman and Donald Brinton, Vice-Chairman.
Bert Bradley provides Council with a detailed list of the Planning & Zoning Commission
recommendations. Bradley and Brinton discuss the Commissions recommendations. General
discussion.
Add a four way stop at Floating Feather Road and Linder Road.
Improve intersection at Ballantyne and State Hwy 44 to include lighting, access
and improve safety.
Proceed with study and finalization of Hill Road from existing Hwy 55 West to
State Street.
Add a deceleration lane to allow safe right mm at Parkinson and Alternate Route.
Improve Eagle Road 1/4 mile South of State Street to Floating Feather and
Bridge #36 (in progress), not to exceed two traffic lanes plus a center turn lane,
plus bike lanes and curb, gutter and sidewalk with a planting strip between
the curb and sidewalk.

Improve Eagle Road, Floating Feather to Beacon Light (needs utilities installed
first), not to exceed two traffic lanes plus a center turn lane, plus bike lanes and
curb, gutter and sidewalk with a planting strip between the curb and sidewalk.
Improve Floating Feather East of Eagle Road to Edgewood Lane (needs utilities
installed first), not to exceed two traffic lanes plus a center turn lane, plus bike
lanes and curb, gutter and sidewalk with a planting strip between the curb and
sidewalks.
Beacon Light, Hwy 55 to Hwy 16 to remain collector status with special set backs
to allow for future expansion.

Add curb, gutter and sidewalk, with planting strip between the curb and sidewalk,
on the North and South side of State Street from Ballantyne to Parkinson.

Add and improve downtown and directional signage at intersections of Floating
Feather, Beacon Light and exists of the bypass.

Add a collector road from Eagle Road just North of Albertson's to State Street
at the future Hill Road.
13.
Improve 2"d Street to a higher load bearing road with bike lanes, curb, gutter and
sidewalks.
Mayor: I would appreciate a Council motion that we approve the 1997 Transportation
Improvement Plan as submitted.
Masner: So moved. Seconded by Yzaguirre. ALL AYE, MOTION CARRIES ........
Butler discusses a letter he received from ACHD to move street lights. Nancy says the existing
light at Edgewood and State needs to remain with increased lightage. Also add the new light as
proposed.
