RESOLUTION NO. 10-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY,
IDAHO, ADOPTING RESOLUTION NO. 10-13 WHICH ESTABLISHES A FEE FOR
RETURNED CHECKS AND PROVIDING FORAN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, The City of Eagle, Ada County, Idaho (the "City"), is a municipal corporation duly
organized and operating under the laws of the State of Idaho; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to establish a fee to defray financial and personnel
expenses incurred when insufficient fund checks are remitted to the City; and
WHEREAS, this fee shall apply to persons submitting payments to all municipal units i.e. Eagle
City Hall, Eagle Public Library, Eagle Historical Commission, Eagle Arts Commission, et.a!.;
and
WHEREAS, notification of public hearing was published in accordance with Idaho State Code
S63 -1311 A in The Valley Times, the official newspaper of the City of Eagle on February 22,
2010 and March 1,2010; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 9, 2010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, as follows:
Section 1: That the City hereby establishes a returned check fee of $20.00.
Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and
approval.

CITY OF EAGLE
Legal notice is hereby given that the EAGLE CITY COUNCIL will hold a public hearing on March 9, 2010 at
7:30 P.M. at Eagle City Hall , 660 E. Civic Lane, Eagle, Idaho. The purpose of the hearing is to consider
establishing a fee for returned checks, providing an effective date, and explain the reasons for such fees. The
returned check fee may exceed 105% of prior fees (original fee plus 5% or more). The proposed fee is set
forth below:
NEW FEE:
Returned check fee: $25.00
Public testimony is encouraged at the public hearing. Written comments about the proposed fee increase will
be accepted by the City Clerk up until 5 working days prior to the public hearing. Auxiliary aids or services
for persons with disabilities are available upon 48 hours of advanced notice. Please contact Sharon K.
Bergmann at 939-6813 for additional information. Please give us at least three to five days advanced notice so
we can adequately meet your needs.
