Proclamation - City Council - 4/19/2010 - Disability Awareness Week
Disability Awareness Week
April 19-24, 2010
WHEREAS, various disabilities affect 192,000 citizens of Idaho five
years and older; and
WHEREAS, 15,000 children in Idaho ages 5 to 15 reported a disability;
and
WHEREAS, Disability Awareness will create a good atmosphere for
treatment and cures for the citizens affected by disabilities, and increases the
awareness of the general population which improves the quality of life for all
of Idaho's citizens and;
WHEREAS, the Muscular Dystrophy Association is a non-profit
organization that has provided information and teaching aides about
disability awareness,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Phil Bandy, Mayor City of Eagle in the State of Idaho, do
hereby proclaim April 19 through the 24th 2010 as,
DISABILITY AWARENESS WEEK
in Eagle, Idaho.
