Dear Darrin Jaszkowiak,
Building Permit issued for a Garage/Shop located on Lot 13 Block 5 in the Redwood Creek#1 Subdivision will be
deemed expired as of March 6th.2010 under the Building Code stated below. Your permit was previously granted an
extension to February 6, 2010 and under city code, is only allowed one extension.To receive a`Certificate of Completion',
you must finalize this project prior to the expiration date above:
IBC&IRC sections 105.5 are amended to read as follows:
105.5 Expiration. Every permit issued by the building official under the provisions of this chapter shall expire by limitation and become
null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 calendar days from the date of such permit,
or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of
180 calendar days.
The timeframe by which a project shall be deemed to be suspended or abandoned shall be measured from the date of the last major
inspection that resulted in an approval to move to the next stage of construction by the city of Eagle or if no inspection has been required
then a project shall be deemed to be suspended 180 calendar days from the date the permit was issued.
b.Permit Extensions.Any permittee holding an unexpired permit may apply for an extension of the time within which work may
commence under that permit, when the permittee is unable to commence work within the time required by this section. The building
official may extend the time for action by the permittee for a period not exceeding 180 calendar days on written request by the permittee
with written evidence provided demonstrating that a good faith effort to complete the project has been made and that reasons beyond the
control of the permittee have resulted in a delay. Under no condition shall a permit be extended more than once.
The City of Eagle regrets this project was never finalized.If you have any questions regarding this action,please

Dear Darrin Jaszkowiak,
On August 6, 2009 the City of Eagle received your request to extend the time for the building
permit that was issued for Garage/shop located on Lot 13 Block 5 in the Redwood Creek#1 Subdivision.
Eagle City Code Section 7-1A-3 & 7-1A-4 has amended the 2003 International Building&
International Residential Code Sections R105.5 which allowed a 90 day extension,to be increased to a
period of 180 Days to grant more flexibility to the building community when unforeseen conditions are
presented.
IBC & IRC sections 105.5 are amended to read as follows:
105.5 Expiration. Every permit issued by the building official under the provisions of this chapter shall
expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not
commenced within 180 calendar days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized
by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180
calendar days.

To accommodate your request,your permits are extended to February 6,2010 under Eagle City
