A Proclamation for the City of Eagle declaring
Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
WHEREAS, 1 in 6 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime; and
WHEREAS, in any given week 4,000 American men will hear the words
"you have prostate cancer"; and
WHEREAS, Idaho currently has the ih highest rate of prostate cancer in
America; and
WHEREAS, if prostate cancer is detected and treated early it is almost
100% survivable; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to bring awareness to the citizens of Eagle Idaho,
Us TOO Treasure Valley has respectfully requested this proclamation thereby
encouraging people to become more educated about how they can detect and treat
prostate cancer;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, PHIL BANDY, Mayor of the City of Eagle, do
hereby proclaim Septem ber 2009 to be
PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
in the
City of Eagle
