RESOLUTION NO. 09-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, A MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO; AMENDING THE POLICY FOR THE
CLASSIFICATION AND RETENTION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC RECORDS UNDER
PLANNING & ZONING RECORDS AND PUBLIC WORKS & ENGINEERING
RECORDS; AND PROVIDING THIS RESOLUTION TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON IT
PASSAGE AND APPROV AL.
WHEREAS, In accordance with Idaho Code Title 50, Chapter 9 the City Council adopt
by Resolution a Records Retention Manual on December 12,2006; and
WHEREAS, Said Records Retention Manual shall be amended under Planning & Zoning
Records and Public Works & Engineering Records;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EAGLE, IDAHO AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Under Planning & Zoning Records, Page 63, the following will be inserted
before "Rezoning Records":
Plant a Street Tree Voucher Proe:ram: Vouchers issued to individuals for the
purchase of a tree in accordance with the "Plant A Street Tree" program:
Transitory: Application Records. keep until administrative need ends.
Section 2: Under Planning & Zoning Records, Page 60, Code Enforcement, the
following changes and additions will be inserted:
Permanent: Case files involving litigation
Transitory: Case files with a history of violations: Keep until administrative
need ends.
All other case files can be destroyed after fiscal year end.
Section 3: Under Public Works & Engineering Records, Page 66, the following will be
inserted before "Community DevelopmentfUrban Renewal Projects:
Code Enforcement: Case files on city code violations including: correspondence
with owners. site inspections. photographs. enforcement actions and hearings.
Permanent: Case files involving litigation
Transitory: Case files with a history of violations: Keep until administrative
need ends.
All other case files can be destroyed after fiscal year end.

Section 4: This Resolution shall become effective as of the date of its passage.
