ORDINANCE No. 582
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING EAGLE CITY CODE TITLE I. "ADMINISTRATIVE".
CHAPTER 6, "CITY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES", SECTION D "DEPUTY CITY
CLERK", AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City Clerk/Trcasurer of the City of Eagle is occasionally requircd to be
absent from the City of Eagle; and
WHEREAS, During thc absence of the City Clerk/Treasurer certain duties of the City
Clerk/'rrcasurcr as set forth in the Eagle City Code and Idaho State Code must still be
performed; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Council of the City of Eagle deem it advisablc to empower
a Deputy City Clerk/'rrcasurcr and a Scnior Deputv Citv Clerk/Treasurer to perform such
duties.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EAGLE, IDAHO, as follows:
1-6D-I: Appointment:
Section I: The Mayor, with consent of the City Council, may appoint a Deputy City
Clerk/Treasurer and a Senior Deputv City Clerk/Trcasurer.
1-6D-2: Duties:
Section I: The Mayor and/or City Clerk are hereby authorized to swear in a Deputy City
Clerk/Treasurer and Senior Deputv City Clerk/Treasurer to perform, during the absence of
the City Clerk/Trcasurer, those duties of the City Clerk/Treasurer as the Mayor or City
Clerk/'freasurer directs him/her to perform.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage,
approval, and publication as required by law. In lieu of publication of the entire Ordinance. a
summary thereof in compliance with Section 50-90IA, Idaho Code, may be published.
