JOINT MEETING
CITY COUNCIL & PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Special Meeting Minutes
April 30, 2007
1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor calls the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.
2.. ROLL CALL:
City Council: Present: BASTIAN, NORDSTROM, BANDY. Absent: GUERBER.
A quorum is present.
Planning & Zoning Commission: Present: ASPIT ARTE, ZASTROW, FELIX.
Absent: McCARRELL, PIERCE. A quorum is present.
Pierce arrives 6:08 p.m.
3. Eae:le Foothills Comprehensive Plan Review.
Mayor introduces the item.
City Planner, Nichoel Baird Spencer reviews the process which has been gone through
with the Foothills Plan to date. Work groups in the following areas were formed:
Habitat/Open Space, Transportation, Activities Centers, Facilities, Landscape/Design
Review, and Land Owners Groups. An average of 150 people volunteered weekly to
participate in these work groups, a total of approximately 2,111 man hours were
dedicated to this process.
May 1 & 3rd there will be Land Owners Meetings at which information on the plan will
be presented to the public. And then the public hearing process will begin with the
Planning and Zoning Commission will be May 14,2007.
Baird-Spencer reviews the general foothills principles which were agreed upon at earlier
meetings. General discussion.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
Nordstrom moves to adjourn. Seconded by Bandy . ALL AYE: MOTION
CARRIES.. .
Hearing no further business, the Joint Council and Planning and Zoning Commission
meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
