Resolution - 2006 - 48 - Adopt Fee Schedule For Electrical Permits - 10/24/2006
RESOLUTION No. 06-48 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO ADOPTING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION TITLE 7, CHAPTER lC OF THE EAGLE CITY CODE FOR ELECTRICAL PERMITS; AND, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, public notice for a public hearing for the electrical fee schedule was published in The Valley Times on October 9,2006 and October 16,2006 as required by Idaho Code; WHEREAS, a public hearing on the electrical fee schedule was held on October 24, 2006. WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the inhabitants of the City of Eagle to adopt the electrical fee schedule; WHEREAS, the City Council has approved amending and updating the City's fee schedule for electrical permits by this Resolution; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO. Section I: Said electrical fee schedule substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A is hereby incorporated herein by this reference and is hereby approved. Section 2: The Mayor and City Council are hereby authorized to execute said schedule for and on behalf of the City of Eagle. Electrical inspection fees are to cover the cost of electrical inspection as provided by Section 54-1005, Idaho Code; any person, partnership, company, firm, association, or corporation making an electrical installation coming under the provisions of Section 54-1001, Idaho Code, shall pay to the City of Eagle, Idaho an inspection fee as provided in the following schedule. All fees calculated under this schedule must be calculated on the total wiring cost of the job, and this figure must be shown on the permit. The inspection fees listed in this section shall apply to any and all electrical installations not specifically mentioned elsewhere in this schedule. The wiring cost shall be the cost to the owner of all labor charges and all wiring materials and equipment installed as part of the wiring system. For all owner-supplied, factory assembled equipment to be installed, the inspection will be based on 1/2% of total cost of the equipment OR an hourly rate of eighty dollars ($80) for the first hour of each inspection and forty dollars ($40) for each subsequent hour. Trips to inspect corrections required by the inspector as a result of the submitter improperly responding to a corrective notice. 3. Each trip necessary to remove a red tag from the jobsite. 4. When corrections have not been made in the prescribed time, unless an extension has been requested and granted. Every permit issued by the City of Eagle shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the work authorized by such permit is not commenced within ninety (90) days from the date of issuance of such permit or if the work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after work is commenced for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days. A permit may be renewed for an additional year upon approval of the Eagle Building Official and payment of $50.00 renewal fee.
