Minutes - 2006 - City Council - 08/22/2006 - Regular EAGLE CITY COUNCIL Budget Workshop Minutes August 22, 20056 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor calls the meeting to order at 5:30.m. 2. ROLL CALL: BASTIAN, GUERBER, NORDSTROM, BANDY. A quorum is present. 3. PULlC HEARINGS: A. Public Hearinl! for Fiscal Year 2006/2007 Proposed Budl!et: A public hearing for consideration of the proposed budget including general revenue sharing for the fiscal period October 1, 2006, to September 30, 2007, pursuant to the provisions of Section 50- 1002, Idaho Code. Mayor introduces the issue. City Clerk Bergmann: At the last budget hearing on August 8th we went over the final changes to the proposed budget. The only change since then is that AIC revised their projections for revenue sharing for next fiscal year, an increase of$32,884.00 which I added on to the development of the Eagle Sports Complex which brings that line item up to $557,015.00. Council concurs with the distribution of the funds. City Clerk Bergmann displays overheads of pie charts and discusses the total budget, revenue, and expenditures for the general fund and the distribution of the property taxes between the General Fund and the Library. General discussion. Mayor Opens the Public Hearing Mayor Closes the Public Hearing General discussion on the new format being implemented for the budget process. 4. NEW BUSINESS: A. Ordinance No: 549: Appropriation Ordinance for Fiscal Year 2006/207:An Ordinance Entitled The Annual Appropriation Ordinance For The City Of Eagle, Idaho, For The Fiscal Year 2007 Commencing October 1,2006, And Ending September 30,2007, Appropriating Sums Of Money In The Aggregate Amount Of$13,236,017.00 To Defray All Necessary Expenses And Liabilities Of The City Of Eagle For Said Fiscal Year; Specifying The Object And Purposes For Which Such Appropriations Are Made And The Amount Appropriated For Each Object And Purpose; Authorizing The Certification To The County Commissioners Of Ada County, Idaho, To Levy And Assess A Sufficient Tax Upon The Taxable Property In The City; Providing For The Filing Of A Copy Of This Ordinance With The Office Of The Idaho Secretary Of State as Provided By Law; Providing For Publication; And Providing An Effective Date. Mayor introduces the issue. Guerber moves, pursuant to Idaho Code, Section 50-902, that the rule requiring Ordinances to be read on three different days with one reading to be in full be dispensed with, and that Ordinance #549 be considered after being read once by title only.
