Committee members:

Lynn McKee, David Head, Marcia Schmelzer
The following will be topics of discussion for the balance of the meeting:
1. Mission
The mission of the Eagle Citizen’s Water Committee (Committee) is to review and evaluate
current and future water resources of the city and its area of impact.
2. Structure
The Committee is comprised of knowledgeable citizens from all areas of the city, area of
impact, and the outlying areas that are affected by our water planning and use. One City
Councilperson will serve as the liaison to the Committee.
3. Scope
Water resources to be considered by the Committee will include surface water, ground water,
and municipal drinking water.
The Committee will make recommendations and offer input on policy, use, and management
of the city’s water resources to the Eagle City Council. Recommendations and input will
focus on areas such as, availability, water use practices, conservation, reuse, rate review,
expenditure oversight, capital additions and repairs, evaluating the ability to serve new
development through a municipal water system.
It is anticipated Committee responsibilities will evolve and change as the City grows.
4. Goals
Eagle City Council will use efforts conducted by the Citizen’s Water Committee as the
beginnings of a Public Works entity.
5.
Developments in the works and how they are projected to impact our current and future
water needs.
6. Future Committee Meetings
Future meeting date/times will be determined by the group, so be sure to bring your
calendars to the first meeting.
Please note that there may be a quorum of the City Council in attendance,
but no Council action will be taken.
