AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY OF EAGLE, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, ADDING A NEW
CHAPTER, FIRE PROTECTION TO THE EAGLE CITY CODE PROVIDING THAT ALL FIRE
PROTECTION SHALL BE PROVIDED BY EAGLE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Lands currently within the City of Eagle may not be within the Eagle Fire Protection
District; and
WHEREAS, It is a benefit for all properties within the City of Eagle to be served by fire protection
and rescue services, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EAGLE, Ada County, Idaho;
Section 1: That a new Chapter 4-8 be added to Eagle City Code as follows:
CHAPTER 8
FIRE PROTECTION
4-8-1: Eagle Fire Protection District:
Eagle Fire Protection District is designated as the one and only official fire
protection entity for the City of Eagle. Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 31-
1429 (1996) the City of Eagle hereby consents that all area within the city
limits, as such may be designated from time to time, be included within the
limits of the Eagle Fire Protection District.
Section 2: Should any of the provisions of this Ordinance be held invalid for any cause, or should
any portion of this Ordinance be declared invalid, then such declaration of invalidity shall not affect the
remainder of balance of this Ordinance.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication hereof.
