A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE FY 2008 TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT
PROGRAM APPLICATION SUBMITTAL FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF
THE BRIDGE I P A THW A Y NEAR MERRILL PARK ENHANCEMENT PROJECT BY THE
CITY OF EAGLE TO COMPASS AND THE IDAHO TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT.
TOTAL PROJECT COST ESTIMATE IS $ 574.000 WHICH WILL REQUIRE
$ 74.000 OF LOCAL MATCHING FUNDS AND IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS FROM
THE CITY OF EAGLE.
WHERE AS, it is the intent of the City of Eagle City Council to design and construct a
pedestrian bridge across the North Channel ofthe Boise River to link existing pathways on the
north and south side ofthe river along with pathway improvements.
WHERE AS, the City of Eagle intends to submit the required application to obtain Federal-Aid
funds in order to make the improvements, as described above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Eagle City Council, that the Mayor is
hereby authorized and directed to sign the Application and all associated documents and submit
the application to COMPASS.
