Minutes - 2004 - City Council - 03/02/2004 - Regular ¡ o.r' "NA~ EAGLE CITY COUNCIL Minutes March 2, 2004 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Merrill calls the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: BASTIAN, SEDLACEK, GUERBER, NORDSTROM. All present. A quorum is present. 4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: 3. GENE~USSIONJlli CITY HAkL PROJECT - ZGA Architects. Mayor introduces the issue. Cathy Sewel, ZGA, distributes handouts of the site plan, office layout and elevations and discusses the same. General discussion. Mayor: Ron Baker, Library Director, is pleased with the site plan and it addresses all of the concerns that the Library had. Council concurs that they like the site plan as presented. Further discussion on the site plan. Cathy displays the floor plan and discusses some minor changes. General discussion. Council likes the staff to be on the floor with a movable work area. Council concurs that they like the floor plan as presented. Cathy displays the building elevation and discusses the same. General discussion. Discussion on the color of the sandstone. Discussion on the entry. Discussion on the roof line. Two items to bring back: The color of the stone on the comer areas of the Council Chamber and some overlays with a tower over the entrance. Further discussion on a tower over the entry. Discussion on the plaza as a flag plaza and a presentation area. Discussion on the cost to lease comparable space. Discussion on proceeding with construction documents. Tom Zabala: There would be a difference in the type of construction documents that would be produced to go out to bid and if proposed to a developer on a lease back agreement. Discussion on the bid time. General discussion. Bastian moves to amend the Agenda and add a Proclamation, "Save Annabelle Weekend". Seconded by Sedlacek. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES........... This proclamation is for "Save Annabelle Weekend: Mayor reads the Proclamation. Bastian moves to approve the Proclamation for the "Save Annabelle Weekend" for March 12-14,2004. Seconded by Sedlacek. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES.. .. . .. . .. .. .. . Mayor: Are there any other reports? City Clerk: The Girl Scouts would like to have a different location than Friendship Park to put the Peace Pole. General discussion. Council concurs to have the Peace Pole in the Arboretum. 4. ADJOURNMENT: Bastian moves to adjourn. Seconded by Sedlacek. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES...
